Well, after at least more than 36 hours, three bottles of mountain dew, and a sore hand, the Ocarina of Time Poster for my illustration class is done. Holy crap can I shoot my foot now?
I gotta say that this thing was beyond frustrating. Especially the characters in the front. They weren't exactly liking me when I was coloring them, and they actually took the longest out of everything in this piece.
As for the artwork itself, I was trying to make it textured like the Twilight Princess illustrations, and the new poster for the Wii Zelda coming out in the future. I also used the color scheme of those too. Honestly, I'm not sure if I pulled it off very well, but I tried and that's what counts right?
Link was the most fun to draw out of all of those things in there. The re-dead was actually of note too. Hur hur.
Wow... my first awesome piece of digital art. Hurray!
Legend of Zelda belongs to Nintendo, not me. If you want to use this piece of artwork, you better contact me, because I do not put my work up here for art thieves to steel.
Now I have to make a print of this puppy: 20 by 30 inches. Hurray!
wow! and may I say again WOW! That's amazing! Keep up the good work!

freaking intense!!! The first thing that came to mind was the new zelda artwork from nintendo. If I can recognize the similarity, then I think you pulled off the look very well. Great sense of movement and lighting and pretty much everything else. Great job!
I think I recognise most of the monsters, but what's that firey one on the left-hand side?
On the texturing: it looks a bit overdone to me - where you've used a fine line pattern it looks more like moire than brush strokes, and when you've used a thicker line pattern it stands out a bit too much.
In Ocarina of time there are dancing fire men with a bomb for a torso in the fire temple. They're called flare dancers. Yay nerds..
