Annnnnd have a wee story:

He sat on a log outside Anduriel’s healing tent, poking the fire with a stick, making sure the flames didn’t go out. Zelda knew that he shouldn’t have been up - but here he was anyway, showing off his great resilience in the face of anything that tried to barrel him down.

Apparently he heard her, and he turned around. He smiled quaintly at her, using his right stump on accident to wave at her, realizing a second too late that there wasn’t anything there to wave with. Switching tactics, he put down the stick to wave at her again, smiling and generally looking stupid.

“Hi,” He said, eyes shining with life when just a few days ago, they looked like they’d be vanishing forever.

“Hi…” Zelda said simply, moving over to sit by him, “You look… better.”

“I feel pretty decent.”

Zelda sighed, “Even after your arm is…?”

“Let’s be honest… he could have done a lot worse than my arm.”
