Fierce Deity - WIPby *Mudora

Because apparently, I can't post anything other than Works in Progress at the moment. I'm heavily sick with a sinus infection and it seems to be affecting more then said nose.

Well, not in any relevance to my art skills... more like how long I can manage before I get pooped out. In no way is this finished yet - actually it's been turning out rather well... it's just that being sick sucks, and now I have no idea if I can mange to get UP of all things.

Anyway, me aside, Here's my Fierce Deity picture somewhat half-way done. Not sure what I was going for with the colors, seeing as I was extremely drowsy from the drug cocktail comprising of Sudafed, Pain Killer, and the anti-biotic needed to get rid of this stupid infection. I obviously wanted some pretty heavy back lighting... kind of reminds me of the final showdown between Majora's Mask and you.

Even if this is a WIP, this has really great life. I love the sketch, his face is just awesome. Not to mention what color you've blocked in is extremely strong adn looks fabulous.

That's actually a hard question to ask. I don't use reference, but I have a general idea of what I want in my head. I'll try out a few sketches sometimes, or put something immediately to paper. I knew I wanted Oni Link here to be somewhat like a crouching lion, ready to pounce. So I tried to apply that here. And poof there it is after a few minutes. XD
